Every year a group of 35-40 Israeli children with cancer arrive on their dream trip to Orlando. It is not just a trip to Disney World, but a healing journey where they make friends for life. The group is a source of emotional support and the children feel they are accepted and loved the way they are.
The children, ages 11-18, come from all over the country and from different social backgrounds, and they arrive to this journey without their parents. The group is accompanied by a medical team and volunteers, and the consolers themselves are larger than life children who recovered, that this is their way to give back.
After ten days of pure fun and happy childhood experiences as other children their age, in many cases the tests are better and their hair starts to grow. If you could see their smiles, you would realize how meaningful the trip is for them.
